New Luxury Toyota Avalon 2019

One of the versions of the new Avalon has a 3.5-liter V6 engine, combined with an automatic gearbox 8-speed Direct Shift-8AT (UA80E) TNGA and the second by the Toyota Hybrid System (THS II) ) four-cylinder Dynamic Force 2.5-liter electric motor with 650 volts (A25A-FXS) and continuously variable transmission (CVT).

According to the experts of the brand, the V6 derived from the TNGA develops more power, with less fuel consumption, due to the application of direct injection D-4S, in conjunction with a variable valve control system VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide).

The VVT-iW system is used in the intake cycle, while the VVT-i (Variable Valve Control – Intelligent) is activated in the exhaust.

By using the VVT-iW, the engineers ensured optimal torque generation at any engine speed and minimized pumping losses during the closing of the intake valves, further improving energy efficiency. The use of the Atkinson cycle, too, reduces the fuel consumption of the V6, especially in cold climates and during deep acceleration situations.

With regard to the Avalon Hybrid four-cylinder and 2.5 liters, it is considered as an energy efficient system, which operates cleaner and generates more power compared to previous versions, thanks to the implementation of technologies such as the dual VVT- i with VVT-iE (intelligent variable cam system by electric motor); Direct injection D-4S (petrol engine of 4-stroke direct injection Superior version) and valve seats with laser coating, among others.

This system uses two electric motors – MG1 and MG2 – that supplement the charge of the nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) battery of the hybrid system, while the MG2 helps the engine.

The interior of this Toyota of large size stands out among many elements a screen of 7 inches s, where you can see information about the vehicle, satellite navigation, and various vehicle settings including those corresponding to alert lane departure with assistance in the steering, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitor with traffic alert crossing at the back and front display screen.

The Toyota Avalon 2019 seems a very attractive vehicle, loaded with technology and with many systems that provide comfort to the driver and occupants, but we will hardly see in Mexico.

Hyundai will manufacture a hybrid supercar

Hyundai hybrid supercar

Surely when Honda announced that it would build a sports car that would rival Ferrari in 1986, many thought it would be a resounding failure. But from that audacity was born the legendary NSX. Well, 32 years later the story more or less comes back to repeat, but this time, the protagonist comes from South Korea, since Hyundai confirmed that it will develop a hybrid supercar, which could be marketed under the premium brand Genesis.

Surprisingly, those responsible for this news were the Vice President of Research and Development Yang Woong-Chul and the Director of Design, Luc Donkerwolke (most known for being the father of the Lamborghini Murciélago and Gallardo), during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas, in the United States.

Although it is still too early to know the final configuration that will have Hyundai superdepotivo, everything seems to indicate that it will be a two-seater model that will get its power through a hybrid propulsion scheme of the central position. Come on, at least on paper, would follow the same path traced by the Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder or Acura NSX.

Give your car a true custom look

It is noteworthy that the project is led by Albert Biermann, head of the division of high performance “N” and in the past worked as a former head of BMW M. Also, it is likely that his image is inspired by some conceptual models such as the Hyundai HND-9 or the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo.

Who would say that a brand that until the beginning of the new century was despised by half the world, today is about to create its own supercar … Life gives you surprises, surprises give you life, oh, God!
